Plumbers

UA-trained plumbers perform work that’s essential to the health and safety of our communities. They install and maintain fixtures like toilets, sinks, drinking fountains and wastewater systems, all with a focus on water conservation and energy efficiency.


Pipefitters

These tradespeople fabricate, install and maintain piping systems used to transport fluids, gases and other materials in industries like power generation, manufacturing and healthcare. Their work can include high-pressure steam systems and chemical pipelines, so safety is crucial.


Sprinkler Fitters

These skilled professionals specialize in the installation, repairs and maintenance of fire protection systems, which include lifesaving extinguishing equipment in homes, schools, hospitals, offices and industrial facilities.


Welders

Welders can be found on nearly every project and jobsite in Illinois, and their skills are critical to building communities. These highly-trained craftworkers cut, join and repair various material, including steel, cast iron, alloys, plastics and more.


Pipeliners

UA pipeliners perform the vital work of ensuring the safe and efficient transport of oil and natural gas from oil fields to refineries to consumers. These specialized professionals often work in remote locations and are excellent welders.


HVACR Service Technicians
